Mr. 168!

Who is he?

Why is he here?
Where did he come from?
What just happened?
When will he come here? And Finally...

How does he do it?

Opening Day

Means different things to different people. Clearly, it refers to when your team starts the regular season in sports.  There's a different term for when the irregular season starts, but that's not what this is about.

June 1st, 2013

Church Softball League has its first game today. I played, my son did not. I didn't embarrass myself too greatly, as I went 1/2 with a walk and a run scored. Did join the K club my last at bat, however.

The bottom dropped out of the pitch.  Yeah, let's go with that.

And if you've ever had your bottom dropped out, you know just how pleasurable that can be ;)

The 168 Project

Not to be confused with, My 168 Project is winding down. We got our film turned in on time, and now we simply need to complete paperwork by COB Monday. We will do this.

Why you ask? Or, maybe you didn't as I don't really know you.

Met Jeff Rector @MagicCastle the other night. I'm hoping that I can get a free festival screening pass, if such a thing exists....

That's about it from here for now. I have paperwork to complete, and more movies to write that no one will see....

That's My Story. Hope you enjoyed it™

The Blank Page

Is what I'm staring at, until I wrote the words you've just read. I was going to write a nastygram to a former friend, however, I thought this would be more constructive.

I could be wrong, as I'm not perfect. Although, I thought I was wrong once, but I was wrong.

I'm in that nebulous 168 Project area wherein anything I do and commit to paper real or virtual may be considered writing. The good news is, I'm not the writer of record this season.

So, I can do about as much as I want. Here's where you'd put the evil laugh sound effect if you have one. I might somewhere, but I don't have the time or inclination to search.

Of course, I could record a new one. Muahahaha!!! There. I wrote it. I'll probably record one at some point in the not too distant future.

Balance is key. The keys to the kingdom. Clearly, I've gone off on a tangent that isn't even near the original circle. But I've done that before.

Just think, if Sheldon's arch nemesis was Joss Whedon instead of Wil Wheaton, how different the show would be. This one's an audio Daily Double. The proof is left to the reader.

Didn't you hate that when you came across it in your Middle School Math Book? Show your work. That's my favorite command. Bad handwriting, combined with the ability to do most things in my head, has kept me out of the big time for this long, maybe longer.

I've written about that before elsewhere. Maybe it's a common theme. The theme for this year's 168 Project is, Atonement. Confess your sins, and be forgiven. Accept the punishment. I think that's what The Bible says.

I'll find out more on Saturday. Hope to see you then.

72 and sunny in Redondo Beach.

Morning pages at night....

I'm going to ask @NavarroTells if its: Freeze, Fight, Flight; Fight, Flight, Freeze; Or one of the other four combinations that I don't wish to type out simply to pad my word count for today.

Why, you ask? Well, I may have more to say than fits in a simple, or maybe even a complex blog post. Or, article. Yes, I did read the articles, and look at the pictures and if you don't get the reference, then return to remedial meme school.

Yes, there were memes before the 'net, however, they were probably callled something else. And Roger Ebert is not simply a movie critic.
We are all writers. You may call yourself something else, however, when it comes down to it, you're probably writing something at some point.

What is it that you're writing? You may be composing something to say in your head, in response to various stimuli around you, be it touch, sight, audible or visible. Taste!!! All your taste is in your tongue. Or, you have none. My palate is totally blown through years of abusive coffee intake.

Surprisingly, I'm okay with that.

So, not to worry. It turns out I do know what I'm talking about, even if you don't.

I'll explain later. If and only if you leave a comment.

Talk to you then.

Hey! I Wrote a Sonnet!!!

Will my fate be, A Date with Destiny?
I’ve never believed predestination
will be a valid way of life for me.
Thinking for one’s self is better than none.

I knew a girl named Destiny long ago
She was my friend and so much more as well
We went out a few times to see a show
Our hearts were in sync, we seemed to just gel.

I miss her terribly I know not how
I let her escape my warmly embrace
It all seems like a dream I had just now
All my feelings vanished without a trace.

Every time I think of her sweet sweet smiles
I begin the journey of a thousand miles.
